F&P Nemo Dishwasher DW681ES - Light flashing 8 times?

I have a Fisher & Paykel Nemo Dishwasher DW681ES model. When it starts up, I can hear water filling it, and the pump runs, but it does not heat the water. The cycle stops a few minutes in and the Start/Reset light starts flashing 8 times. We've checked the flow meter, tried turning the appliance off (unplugged from the wall for several minutes) then on again, but nothing changes.

8 flashes is F8 error code which is a problem with the water level. Once the machine has filled and triggered the pressure switch it should stay tripped. If it resets as in when the water level drops more than a few times the controller will signal F8. You need to find out why the water level is fluctuating. Can be caused by blocked filters not allowing water to return down to wash pump quickly enough, water leak, wrong detergent used causing too much foam, faulty pressure switch or erratic wash pump motor.
