I can't afford a plumber again .I need to unblock the macerator myself. It was only recently installed I'm a disabled female who has never repaired anything in my life so it's going to be a challenge.I know it is important to turn the electric off and the water valve inlet (the tiny blue tap)then where do I start? I can only see two screws on either side of the pan. there isn't a box or anything behind the pan that I can see.

Water and electric has to be turned off and disconnected first then the discharge pipe work watch disconecting the NRV as the pipe is full of poo once drained and removed undo both screws and lift the pan and cistern clear and forward to safe place to access the macerator box in the back of the pan remove the box and clear the blockage and replace the lot it's not easy fraught with problems and easy to cause more dammage than the machine costs so sorry to say you need experence to do this job so a propper Saniflo service would be required.

sorry, apparently the macerator is built into the pan the only way to access it is by taking the pan out

Its hard to tell you where to start but the outlet pipe from your pan is 100mm the out let from a macerator is 40mm so you need to find where the two meet
