Hello, my parents Toshiba RD-XV59DT DVD to VHS machine will no longer read any form of disc. I have taken it apart and the laser seems clean. I cannot find any common faults on the net. I don't want to throw money at it as it's probably easier to buy something new. It's had very minimal use though so I'm frustrated it might be something silly at fault (too much dust somewhere or a software issue) and I'm loathed to throw it away.
