when I move dial to a washing setting it shows 0 and key symbol flashing. when I press the start button it beeps twice

If you have a key symbol the child lock is on check your user instruction book how to switch child lock off,usually it is hold in start button for at least 5 seconds to release child lock. If you manage to extinguish the key symbol and the start button still beeps twice make sure the door is shut properly. Cheers
