I was given a Westinghouse ltv 32w1 tv and was told that the power supply needs to be replaced. is there any safety concerns that I should be aware (e.g., power discharge in a CRT tv)? Also, what tests would you suggest to insure that the power supply is the problem? Would this tv be worth repairing?

First-Thats not enough info. Does your power light come on? Do you have picture but no sound or neither?Can you still get the menu display. how many times does the power light flash, if it does or does it stay on?
