my Xbox wont play some games or has trouble loading others but I've tryed cleaning the game and getting a new copy how do i fix that? Also it wont play burned cd's or dvd's. Why?

the drives on the origional xbox are crap i have had the same issue with three xboxs now and solved the problem by swapping out the dvd drive with another of the same model. ebay cheap as chips

my xbox is old but has always been reliablebut now it wont read any of the disc,ive taken it apart cleaned the disc and the laser / nothing seems to be outwardly wrong with the hard drive so whats up what do i need to fix it

mine has just started doing this recently too, the microsoft help page says that some of the saved game files on the console may be the problem, but I went through and deleted everything on mine and the problem still persists. I'm still puzzled about that actually. Your burned cds and dvds won't play because the xbox isn't really CD-R ready, although some still work
