how can i fix cd on CA-MD9R?

the cd on the CA-MD9R no longer works, it accepts the disc but fails to read it. The rest of the system is ok.

I too need help with this, everything works fine except cd, took case apart, opened and closed tray, laser did not move or respond in anyway, neither does it start spinning. Displays no disk, also display is a bit dim
