My virtually unused Toshiba DVD/VHS combo TV recorder has stopped working. When you plug it in the green indicator light next to the on/off button flashes and so do the two indicators for selecting VHS or DVD. As the lights flash so the fan motor on the back runs momentarily on each flash. There is no tape or obstruction in the VHS section. There is a blank disc in the DVD section which I can not retrieve. I'm usually pretty savvy at fixing things like this myself but I can't get the disc out and I don't think it's jammed. Just wondered really if these flashing lights are a known indicator of anything specific. The manual doesn't mention this as a possible error ??? Anything anyone can suggest is gratefully appreciated.
