Dimplex, Model HUR 20c, Volts 230-240/50Hz, Watts 2120w, Elements 2000w, Bulbs 2x40w, Motors 2x20, Series D. The heater fan and I think also the elements are stopping and starting every few minutes. The fan runs for a few minutes then I hear a click then the fan stops and a few minutes later it starts again and the same thing over and over so it is not working properly?

First check the element when its running, if its glowing the fan may want lubricating/cleaning.I assume that you have turned the stat up,turn stat to half way then run,when it switches off turn stat to full,does it start up? can you hear it clicking when turned from top to bottom? If you're happy that non of these tests have affected it then its probably the cut out that is fitted to the top of the element part No FB 9402
