Recently moved into house and heater has been switched off. When you switch wall socket (s) on should the red light on the top light up?. Do I need to leave one of the wall switches on all the time. If so is it the one with the fuse in the wall unit?

There are 2 parts to these heaters a storage part that is heated up from an off peak supply which is the switch with the red light, this should come on at 12am to 1 am depending on the time switch at the mains
and a 24 hour supply to a convector heater which is independent of the off peak bit
