I have only a thin line of picture running horizontally across the screen. The unit is aprox 8 years old and this issue just arose when it was switched on today.
check for bad solder connections in the vertical circuit, if the problems presists then check for an open resistor on the B+ line for the ic. if it's good then replace the ic itself.
