Hi There. I have a hotpoint washer dryer that was purchased in 2010.Mode; WDF740G (UK). It recently started making alot of noise during the spin cycles but appeared to work fine otherwise. Last night the spin simply stopped working. Can you help. Thanks.

Why didn't you get it looked at when it started making a lot of noise on the spin cycle? Did you think it would be okay to run it and nothing else would happen? If it is making a loud unusual noise then obviously something is not right and it will only get worse. They don't suddenly fix themselves and get better.
