Can anyone tell me which is the cold inlet, and which is the hot inlet? ?

I need to test my removed valve back at home, and I can't tell which is the hot inlet, etc. I'm calling the temperature variation unit valve the 'top' of the valve. Thanks!

This may help

Alternatively: As you have removed the unit, you could always open the "Flow" valve, stick one inlet into your mouth and and blow whilst winding the temperature control up and down between coldest and hottest.

Do that with both inlets for comparison. The inlet that opens as you INCERASE the temperature setting is pretty sure to be the "Hot" inlet.

Let me get this straight. You have "a valve" and you want us to tell you what the ports are but you decided we don't need to know what the valve is from, what the make or model are.
We ain't psychic, so how do you expect us to know?

Sorry the unit is a thermostatic shower valve from a static caravan - v100
