how can i fix the cord rewind on my hoover vacuum model telios 1500, the cord is stuck partially out

You may be able to get away with giving the cord a firm pull, this worked on our Telios 2000. I had spent an hour trying to get it open and in frustration I yanked the cord and it started feeding the rest of the cord out!
