i have been informed by the service center that my serial number is over 10 years old on my polio vaperet to 2400 & polio do not produce parts for this machine.
the problem with my machine is it will not switch the heating element on - the other switch to release the steam lights up ok. is there any local repair center to leeds that could repair my machine

Have you considered that the switch might be working as it should and that the heating element may well have failed?

You would be very unlikely to find a repair solution - I think a replacement is the best approach.
