I moved my fire from the living room to the dining room and for some unknown reason it does not work now. The fire glows but the fan will not blow out hot air. Any suggestions why this has happened.

Yes I have a suggestion...

The heating element already weakened from use suffered a small mechanical shock when the fire was moved and became open circuit.

Amazon will sell you an inexpensive electric fire - the glowing effect adds no value.
