Bosch Washing machine - Drum does not rotate?

We did a 2nd wash this morning (the first was fine). When the cycle had finished we went to empty the contents only to find they were sopping wet.

We then selected spin only and noticed there was no rotation of the drum.

When this exercise was finished I selected Freshen/Rinse and the water filled, there were a number of clicks and finally the water drained, again with no drum rotation at all.

I went to the filter and removed and amount of crap (I believe that is the correct technical term) and again selected a spin cycle (selecting a different spin speed). Again there were a number of clicks but no rotation of the drum at any speed!

Any advise will be greatly received.

Thanks

Most likely answer would be the carbon brushes on the motor have worn away and need replacing.
