Why does my boiler remain ON - even when switch is moved to OFF?

I have a Ariston Micro Genus 24 HE boiler. Recently it gave me a ERROR A)1. I replaced the PCB and the error went BUT the ON/OFF did not work work...it just remained ON even when switch is moved to OFF. I thought then new PCB was faulty also and had that replaced also BUT the ON/OFF switch still does not switch the boiler off. It just remains ON whichever direction the switch is moved to. Is it the switch? Any ideas anyone?..

A switch is easy enough to check IF YOU ARE COMPETENT.

If you had cause to do anything with the wiring you may have put things back incorrectly. Easy enough to check IF YOU ARE COMPETENT.

The on/off switch is part of the PCB. You may have not properly engaged the actuator on the back of the knob with the switch on the PCB

Manual available here: https://www.dhsspares.co.uk/userfiles/Boiler_Manuals/ART416.pdf
