Hi,
we have a diplomat dishwasher, we found that our door was being 'unlocked' by the machine, but the actual door was not flipping open and allowing the wash powder to come out. Our simple but effective cure was to give the doors a small 'twist' everytime we put the powder in, we then found it would fully release when 'unlocked'.
Not sure if this is the same issue as yours, but might be worth playing around with it a little to see if it helps.
