anyone know how to remove the metal plate on the front of a Bosch axt 2200?

Hi
Just bought a Bosch axt 2200 hp on eBay and is brilliant. I would like to keep it that way so wanting to remove the front plate to sharpen the roller and lubricatebut I can't get the plate off. Anyone know how as I don't want to damage?
