no icon for my mp3 player shows up on the desk top when i plug it in and when its unplugged it says "not enough space for music DB. please free 8mb." i previously loaded 192 songs on to it and it holds approx. 2,000 songs. its not letting me play any music or even enter the menu section and i have no idea on what to do. some help?

Not sure if this will solve your problem, but worth a try: For my SanDisk mp3 player I could not fill it up to it's 1GB capacity unless I created a subfolder, THEN put my music files into the subfolder. I could then fill it up close to 1GB (some space is used for the player's "system" files). A root folder of a removable disk or drive will only hold a fixed number of files, regardless of their size. This problem dates back to the days of floppy disks. This might be why you're having the "not enough space for music DB" problem also.
