I only have heating downstairs... ?

Hi all. My heating has been a bit funny. The radiators upstairs aren't heating up at all and the ones downstairs are are only warm half way up. I've looked at my boiler and there pressure is down at 0 but I don't know how to bring it back up. I have a worcester 24i rsf-l combi.
Any ideas would be appreciated

You need to refill the system. Start by putting pressure up to about 1.5 ~ 2.0 bar then bleed all radiators starting at the lowest working your way up. As you bleed the radiators you will need to keep re pressurising / topping up the system as you go. Once all radiators are bled, ie no air then run the system for a few mins till all is well turn heating off wait for pump to stop (cooling down cycle) and then go round check all radiators again.

Get the manual. All you have to do is search.

It sounds like you have lost pressure in the system. This may be due to a leak somewhere, either a radiator, the pipework or in the boiler itself.

This may also be exacerbated by a depressurised or faulty expansion vessel.

The manual is a bit sparse with filling instructions however item 7.8 suggests you need the filling kit (basically s short hose and valve) which was supplied.

Worcester do offer one-off call out for about £300 OR a minimum 6 months maintenance contract at £50/month, which reduces by about half after 6 months and includes an annual service. From experience so far, response and support has been worthwhile.

Using the maker's engineers also means they are familiar with the boilers and usually carry a full stock of common parts in the van.
