Our bathroom UPVC double glazed window will not open. When you turn the handle the bolts do not move, so the window is still as if it is locked. I can unscrew the window handle and my guess is that the lock has sheared inside the frame, because the window bolts don't retract even when I operate the lock with a screwdriver.

How can I release the window?
