Problem with 1GB G-tec Mp3 Player?

Right, so my friend bought her son one of these. They put songs on it, blah blah, worked fine. He brought it to me to get songs off my computer, there were some miscommunications and he was under the impression there were no drivers needed for me to install before messing with it. The thing came with a driver disk, which I did not know because he convinced me otherwise. Now it will still function, but not sync with any computer. I do not know if that is actually the cause of the problem, but I can't seem to come up with any other reason. Unless he stepped on it repeadiately. Anyway, I figured there was a hard reset feature, but can't find any tech support files for the thing. If anyone knows how to completely reset the thing, let me know. Thanks.

You must go to the system folder and enter online device and choose USB disk. When you choose the other choice (media device) programs like windows media do not work. However, in the USB mode there is no problem.
Also, while you are in the system folder, make sure you are in normal mode in the online mode tab.
