La Torre basin tap - handle removal?

I have La Torre lever mono basin tap. I have no idea of the model as it was here when I moved in 11 years ago. The tap has gone beyond dripping and is now freely running. I cannot budge the handle to remove the top of the tap despite using WD40 and trying to turn it anticlockwise. Has anyone got any suggestions Please!

Sorry - the hex screw needs a tool to remove it, basically a hex 'key'.

Usually there is a small plug under the handle on the lever which comes out and behind which is a hex grub screw. You need the right size hex tool to do this. Once that is out the lever should come off the body of the tap - but do turn the water off first!
You will then need a large spanner to unscrew the top, under which is the cartridge causing the problem. This needs to be replaced.
