If you have not already resolved the prob with your Apollo the following info might be useful....
1. Clean blue pilot essential!
2. Appliance is not overheating, easy to tell as boiler will make banging noises on reaching temperature. If overheating, make sure your pump is set to maximum speed, this is critical on an Apollo as is the stat being set to high! It is also very common for the pump overun stat to stick, this will have the effect of stopping the pump for usually just a few secs, the result is overheat, banging, and pilot out. An inexpensive part too. By the way, it is possible to get pilot outage if the pump is defective, the boiler only holds 1 and a half pints of water, should the pump not move the water quick enough, overheat and pilot out. So the person who asked "what has the pump got to do with pilot outage" well, now he knows!!!
3. And finally, faulty overheat stat, too sensitive!
Good luck........Cliff from Gas Tech

What has a pump got to do with the pilot light?

Oh well... Overheat thermostat required.
