how do i tune my alba vcr6000sil to the tv?

I have tried to install the vcr to the tv, but the tv does not find a video station. i am connecting using coaxial cable, the tv stations appear on the tv, through the video. But if i play a film or try to change the station using the video remote, nothing happens. No sound No picture.
Although the signal is going through the video direct from cable. the video does not respond to giving out a signal to enable to tune into tv stations.

You will need to tune your TV to the VCR's RF output channel.

I don't know this model, however it sounds like either the modulator is turned off or and this is *very rare*,..the video only has RF loop through and is intended for use only on AV.

Look in your instruction manual in the tuning or problem section, for anything like "setting your RF Modulator output channel". You may need to set it up.

Try this, common on many vcr's.
1. Switch VCR to standby.
2. Press and hold down the Power button on the VCR front panel for 5 seconds.
3. If it displays RF--, try using CH up down to select a number between 21 and 69. Then tune your TV to that number.
