One day i was watching tv when it went black. When the picture came back it was going off the sides. I couldnt see the whole thing, i couldnt see what channel iwas on because the number went off the screen and when i put it in input it cut of the s-video word at the bottom so it just said "ideo". Is this fixable or should i just buy a new tv?

if you're sure the set isnt into 16:9mode it is probably a bad component or connection in the e-w circuit. this could be fixable by a technician.
