My potterton suprema 30 works for a short while then reaches temperature and then locks out. i press the reset button but it wont reset. after a short while the boiler or the water cools and the reset button is presses and the boiler works then after a while the boiler trips out and so on, i reckon the pcb might be the issue but also think it might be a temp sensor. any idears thanks.
TRY AND RUN THE BOILER ON A LOWER THERMOSTAT SETTING OR POSSBLE THE PUMP IS NOT RUNNING FAST ENOUGH,
THERE IS KNOWN PROBLEMS WITH THE PCB

i have had this before it was pcb but check temp sensor first as they are cheap. then no luck pcb. have a look at pcb to see if you can see any blck burnt spots or arcing.

Yes the pump is fine as is the three way valve, one thing i did do was to turn down the temperature thermostat on the boiler to half way. and again the boiler locked out. i then turned the thermostat all the way up and presses the reset button and hay presto the boiler fired up. reached max temp in about two mins and then locked out. theres plenty of water circulating through the boiler and all the rad valves are open to the max.
