If youR PC wants to shut down and starts a countdown, makiing it difficult to stay online to sort your problem out click on START then RUN. In the box type shutdown -a and click return this will bide you time to get a download program to remove the virus.

Zone Alarm should be fine. (As long as the version is not too old.) If you're in any doubt you could download the latest version.

Basically it can infect your PC by getting in via unprotected internet connections. It causes computers to shut down. If you're using your PC and a window pops up to tell you that windows is about to shutdown (you get a count down to zero and then windows closes) you're probably infected.
