Norton Antivirus has identified IPinsight.exe on my desktop computer. Norton antivirus can't delete it, and I can't find it. How can I delete this adware?

I have CA yahoo Anti Spy toolbar. It works well for me. THis morning i woke up and turn it on to scan for spywares and i was shocked to see alerts for 1 Adware and Trojan !!! i viewd the details and i went to the folders of the programs and deleted them completely

you can download CA yahoo antispy toolbar for free from yahoo and it really helps.

Sometimes if you can not remove all of the spywares and adwares with one click just keep repeating it until they all gone

If you have windows XP, go to Control Panel and folder options, click the view tab at the top and scroll down until you find an option saying "show hidden files and folders" make sure this is turned on. Then you will be able to see all hidden files and folders on your hard drive.

First of all, Norton Antivirus sucks. I don't care what anybody says, every case where someone had Norton, there was problems. I'm sorry but Norton doesn't catch all that much, and Norton can be easily hijacked by a virus. I use and highly recommend Avast antivirus (www.avast.com), the home version is completely free, all it requires is a free email registration. Ever since I have used this program, I have had literally ZERO problems with viruses whatsoever. And as others here have said get ad-aware, because you must understand that a virus is not the same as adware. Adware is not illegal, viruses are, but adware sucks and it makes your computer run like cr*p

While Spybot didn't find any signs of the CoolWebSearch bwoser hijacker, adaware did.
So I recommend that you scan your computer with Adaware.
