Hi all,

Can anyone help - I have a Toshiba DTB55B freeview set top box (digibox).

Is it just a rumour or can all freeview boxes be unlocked with a code or password?

I know this is a bit naughty but am fed up with limited choice of channels.

Being a true Brit I object to paying even more just to get a few extra channels!!! Am I alone with this thought or are there any persons out there who can assist?

If the answer is yes then where do I go to get it or do I enter the menu in the box?

The company you are talking about is actually called Setanta. I assumed that the OP wanted to unlock UK Gold etc. They are supplied by TUTV and cannot be unlocked except that way that I have said in my answer. It is an urban myth that that Freeview boxes can be unlocked with a magic code.

u can get couple of the extra channels like satanta and porn but you can only get them when they start like when satanta plays a match live you put in the code when som1 puts it up on the net.

Assuming that you are trying to get at Top Up TV the answer is no. Next time 'The man in the pub' tells you that it can be done offer him/her a large bet - they won't take it up.
