Can I lubricate the 'swivel' arm of a mixer tap - if so how and what with?

the water delivery arm of my kitchen mixer tap swivels - as most do. However, it has become rather too stiff; is there a way I can loosen this or lubriicate the action?

I would first use a descaling spray and leave overnight, rinse it off and then rub petrolium jelly into it.

use silicon grease or petrolium jelly. they are not harmful to drinking water. thats what plumbers use.
