How to set an antique Sessions Mantle clock?

My clock ran down completely. I reset it but now it chimes 10 times at the 7:00 hour. How do I move the hands to make it chime the correct number of times at the hour?? Thanks,

on the pendelin do you screw the weight up to slow it down,or down?

if the clock strikes 10 times at 7:00, move the hour hand to 10:00 and then set the clock. This is a correction to my above where I stated to move the hand to 7.

The correct way (instructions on the back of my sessions clock):

*move the hand clockwise to 12 (to strike the hour)
*move the hand counter-clockwise to 9, then again past twelve (to strike again)
*repeat as necessary

Take the HOUR HAND (short one) and just move it to the correct place on the clock. In other words if it is 7:00 and it chimes 10, move the short hand to 7:00 and you have fixed it!!
