The 47"t.v. shows two colors at the same time like a shadow. I have been told the problem is in the conversion circuit. How can I go about checking and changing this board. I appreciate any help I can get. THANKS Mike

Hi Mike.

Not familiar with your tv set but basically the convergence is done using 2 x amplifier chips these may be marked STK----
they are large chips positioned vertically against big aluminium heat sink this heatsink will probably be the largest one in the tv set as the chips are very hard working & get hot.
Both Ics will need replacing & quite possibly resistors & caps in the same stage.
