On occasion - Service M3022M washing machine trips the RCD.
Its always at the start of a program - on pulling the program Knob "out" to the on position. Its done it again and now wont come on at all. Suggests something wrong with machine - but had it open and cant see anything obvious (no wiring damage etc) but not easiet beats to get at anything. The first thing that happens in the program is to lock the door then after a pause it would fill. Obviously doing non of these things.

Answering my own question here.
Removed back of machine and took off all hoses. Wires to the motor etc run at the back. A number are held by a small cable strap onto the back of the drum. Apart from insulation tape - theres no gromit protecting cables. On investigating - clearly see a cable had started to wear through and so shorting to the casing. Put a sleeve on cables - taped them up and tied them back. Problem fixed.
