Mine just did the same thing - Neff quality aint great is it?
I have looked around on the web and someone has suggested that the base of the unit is full of water due to a leak. It seems they have a float which kicks in and activates the pump if water builds up underneath. I'm told it's quite atricky fix. By the way, dont expect any advice from Neff's technical helpline - they'll just want to send you an engineer at a hefty price/
