Cannot see second harddrive help please?

I have just installed a second harddrive in my desktop out of another old computer and cannot see it when i go into my computer
the hard drive was ok in other computer

n232 intel motherboard using win xp pro
Jumpers on harddrive set correctly i think
ide cable for second harddrive in ide 2 slot
no other harddrive on this cable and one connection free
both harddrives are ide type

you need to set jumpers correctly by making the hard drive(which has the operating system)MASTER and the other one SLAVE). And, connect both of your hard drivers to the same primary IDE slot.

Have you gone into the BIOS and set it all up properly and you got slaves plugged into the hd?
