no steam coming out of machine Polti 2400?

when operating machine no steam generated , but when hoses attached to another machine appliance worked, thus proving pipes not blocked.
Mr A J Gray, March 2007
Your steam pipe is blocked at the solenoid valve on top of the boiler. If you are still getting the clicking sound when you operate the 'steam' switch then the valve is operating but blocked - probably with limescale. The valve is located on top of the boiler and has a black flexible hose attached with a crimp on fixing. If you disconnect the electricals you can remove the actuator block by removing the nut at the back. You can remove this crimped hose carefully with a screwdriver and pliers. The blockage will most likely be on the inside so the valve will need to be unscrewed. Clean it out with a piece of wire. Replace the valve and electrical connections. I suggest you test the machine before you replace the hose and the cover....(You need 'Tx-Star' Tamperproof drivers Tx10 and Tx20 to remove the cover).
