The polaroid portable dvd player model # PDV-0700 will play music cd's but when I put in a dvd, you can hear it spinning but it stops and says "no disc".

I have a similar problem with my Polaroid Portable DVD player. I can hear the disc spinning but get no visuals or sound at all. I connect the second screen and still no picture. I bought this in Australia and can not even find a phone number for Polaroid here. Thanks for the answer Jen, I'll give up and save for a new one.

I'm sorry. I don't have much of an answer for you. But, I am having the same problem with my portable DVD player. I called Polaroid this morning and they said that if it's past it warrantydate (which mine is) then the only option is to get a replacement player. They do not fix them, only replace them. However they said it would cost me $135 to replace it. Frustrating! I'm just going to buy a new one and stay away from the Polaroid brand. It's just junk!
