Indesit WIXE127 - constantly flashing 'end'?

My machine will not start any wash cycle - the timer appears, flashes a few times then 'end' appears in the display. The door lock light doesn't even appear when I hit the start button.

Thanks in advance!

If the door has in fact locked the problem is sometimes the motor carbon brushes are worn which causes the 'door' to be shown in the digital display. Renew the..carbon brushes. It's a 15 minute job. Take the back panel off and remove the motor 10 mm spanner and swap the brushes and holders £16. Cross point screwdriver required. If the door isn't locking its the interlock on the door,Take off the top of the machine 2 screws at rear then slide rearwards. You can then unplug the interlock £8 and swap it for a new one.2 screws at front of machine where the door catch enters.

If it keeps the door lock on or if it says "Door" in the error message (I think that equates to F05), the pump might be blocked. Pop the bottom plastic cover off (2 inches from left, middle and two inches from right end where there are plastic bendable catches you will need a thin screwdriver to release but be gentle, it folds out in an arc downwards). When the cover is off, unscrew the black circular drain plug (right hand side , have a mop handy as there is always a bit of water) and remove any coins or hair clips. That did the job for me
