Green screen?

After around an hour or two after having my tv on by the which is a phillips not sure what it to heavvy to pull out to look it only 13 months unfortanly waranty run out at the end of 2004 when i leave the tv alone for over this period of time it suddenlygoes bright green and u can just make out the outline of the objects is there any smart people otut there that could help me plz.

PS. If it only occurs when using external equipment, (eg. DVD, Satellite etc), check any RGB connections are secure or try alternative leads. (Alternatively, switch external equipment to composite video instead of RBG as a test.)

Although there are other possible causes for the symptoms, there is a possibility it could be a faulty cathode ray tube. At the very least seems somethings up with the drive to the tube.

I would get back to your dealer ASAP because if it's out of warranty by only a few weeks they probably can help you. If they can't, contact Philips Customer Service in writing, if it's tube failure they almost certainly would be sympathetic to you, if it has failed within such a short time. You may also have certain consumer rights, irrespective of the warranty offered.
