Why does my PHILLIPS 28PW9513/05 TV turn itself off ?

My TV developed a fault some time ago and i replaced it with a new one. Now i am interested in repairing it if possible. I have the exact same problem as someone else on here. The Tv will work fine for 30mins approx and then turn itself off with a cracking noise. The only activity is the red LED on the front which starts and remains flashing. The TV will turn back on immediately only for the same problem to occur. The more you restart the television the more frequent the problem becomes, down to about 2-3 minutes before it will go off.

Its my own set and im not too bothered if i accidentally destroy it trying to make repairs. Even if this is not something i can do myself any idea of the problem and possible repair costs via a technician would be most appreciated.

When led blinks, on modern TV, means protection circuitry activating to avoid damage. If you're not experienced with electronic only thing you can do is open the TV rear with a screwdriver (may be a torx type screws) and see where the crack noise is produced, eventually photographing the section and uploading the file on a image host service. The crack seems produced with sparks?
