how do i get two glass bowls unstuck?

My husband put two wet bowls on top of one another and now we can not get the two separated. What can we do?

thanks for this! we'd put them outside in -35 weather overnight thinking they'd contract...but of course they both did. a little hot water bath with cold water and ice cubes up top. perfect.

thank you sooooo much, it worked the 1st time. Now the wife will not be so mad at me :)

The cold water in top (inner) bowl and hot soak on bottom bowl worked for me. I had to pull them apart still but it was a lot easier.

First, fill the inner bowl with cold water. Now fill your kitchen sink (or a washing-up bowl large enough to accommodate the glass bowls) with hot water. Finally, float the stuck bowls in the hot water and press down so that as much of the outer bowl is submerged as possible without getting any hot water between the bowls.

The outer bowl should expand slightly whilst the cold water should stop the inner bowl from doing so. If this doesn't work after a while, tap the inside rim of the inner bowl from the inside whilst applying gentle upwards pressure.

Let me know if this works: ace at blueyonder dot co dot uk.
