Followed Adams advice on my Indesit wa105 and its working perfectly again !!!

I have no doubt that if I called someone out they would have told me a few porkies and charged me silly money for a simple fix.

Excellent

Will have to let my freinds know about this site.

I have just had a similar problem with my Indesit W161 washing machine; the program selector just kept 'clicking' around. After following Adam's advice - turn the machine off, turn the program selector to a red dot and then turn it back on again - it seems to be working as normal. I'm glad the solution wasn't expensive ;-)
Thanks Adam.

It means the memory has got itself confused. Reset the machine by turning the machine off and then turn the program selector to off (one of the 4 black dots), turn it back on and the LED should blink fast for a moment. Turn it off, select the program you want and then turn it back on. The reason mine was confused was one of the connectors to the pump was loose. I got quoted £90 for a timer in a shop but found this out and it's working fine.

When the dial is clicking round the small red light on the facia panel will also be pulsing. Count the number of continuous pulses, this number of pulses lets you know the fault with your machine.

yep me too, went in shop and was told i needed new timer-minimum 70-80 quid he said better off getting new machine. I thanked him for his honesty, as he doesnt even sell machines only parts!!
