I have a 42" Zenith Plasma Model P42W34P There is a black vertical line in the center. I took the back cover off and checked things out and when I press on the ribbon the line goes away. Where the ribbon goes on the screen is fine and on the board. Just where the metal plate is in the center is where it's messed up. Where can I get a new ribbon? Thanks Jay

Hello Jay, Dave here! I have the fix for your Zenith Plasma Model P42W34P TV. Please feel free to call or message me if you have any other questions about the fix. The fix dose include step by step instructions specific to your make and model on how to repair your TV and also includes a few photos which are also specific to your make and model to help guide you to the parts you will need to repair. You'll need to remove the back cover and you'll also need to know how to do basic soldering in order to do the repair to your TV. If you do not know how to do basic soldering then you will need to find a family member or a friend that knows how to do basic soldering to help you! No new parts are need but you will need to purchase a solder iron with a fine tip point on it (30 watts) and some solder (.015 diamiter). You can find these two item at any Radio Shack or local electronics store for around $10.00's. This fix will fix the Black vertical 1.5 inch lines that appear on your Hitachi 42EDT41 Plasma screen.
