how can i find an internal filter on an Ariston A1636 washing machine?

A1636 Ariston Washing Machine
Water is pouring out of the soap dispenser whilst using it, we know that the internal filter is blocked. As this internal filter is located next to a high voltage panel, how do we unblock it without contacting a engineer and how do we also locate it?

On my A1636 the filter was in the black hosing as described above, Thanks for the advice ! Two screws to remove the plate at the back of the machine at the bottom, then a jubilee clip on the black hose and inside is the ball and basket, its a bit fiddly getting the jubilee clip back on, but if you secure the machine tilted forward its a lot easier, i wedged a small table under it up against the worktop. i was mortified at the grunge that was in there along with curtain hooks buttons plasters and £1.96 for the trouble !

In fact it was pretty easy to find this filter inside the rubber tube thing at the bottom of the machine. Un plug it, take the panel off the back, loosen the metal ring round the black rubber tube and there is the ball filter. i got £1.90, lots of sweetie wrappers, a hair band and some bit of copper wire out of mine. There was also a load of black stinky sludge. No wonder the machine smelled bad!! I had already run a couple of super hot washes and put some soda crystals through the machine, but it needed to be physically unblocked. Have a go - its easy!!

As per what Bob said-its inside the machine which is a pain to get at,but to be honest-unless you cool wash 99% of the time with incredibly dirty and gritty clothes you shouldnt have any blockage problems.
Its not excally a filter, but more of a 'trap' to catch debris. After 4.5 years i decided to check mine and all i found was 25p (yes really!) and a small amount of dirt which to be honest would have dissapeared next time i did a hot wash.
I guess Ariston stuck it inside the machine because its not something which should need removing regulary-if at all.I cant fault my particular washing machine because it works faultlessly,is ultra quiet and does a good job.

Just had the same fault. The filter is not behind the kick plate but is next to the pump. There is a large rubber coupling which connects the bottom of the drum to the pump, the filter is inside that rubber housing! You would not believe what get trapped inside. Well done ariston I'll never buy another of your products!

hi the filter is on the front low down behind the kick plate
