How do I finalize dvds that were recorded on a Sharp recorder?

I have some dvds that were recorded on a Sharp DV-RW2U DVD Player/Recorder. It died before I finalized them. Is there a way I can still finalize them?

Most major manufacturers use their own recording system, (different from PC DVD recorders).
