I am trying to remove a barrel form my upvc door. I hav read many things that say remove the screw holding it in and use the key to turn the barrel slightly and remove the lock.
All sounds easy but my key has broken in the lock and it is the only key i have how can i remove the lock?
I understand that the larger screw on the edge needs to be taken out and somewhere in the operation the key needs to be manipulated. I cannot undo the larger screwand I am afraid to apply too much force.

If the key has broken in the lock you can usually turn the lock with the key stub.
