how do i fix my mp4 player when it keeps on coming up with a disk error?

my mp4 player says 'disk error' when i try to go on any thing, but the only thing i can go on is the radio. I've only put a few songs on it but i don't think it came with a disk. I'm not sure what make it is because the only text it has on it is the words 'digital audio player' on the front.

Sorry to hear that. Please try to format your player, connect your player with your pc then click the removable disk(that is the player on "my computer") on the right, then choose "format", under the format file, please choose "FAT" . After formatting, please copy songs or movies or any other files to your player.

choosing the title read as:"mp3troubleshootroadmap.swf"

Hey guys yeah I had the same problem however found the same solution as "sophie". Basically I reformatted it and it worked fine again. I lost the folders that the MP4 player had before the format however found it does not need these and works fine as it can detect the different files itself in the menu. Eg. if you add amv files they show up in the "Movie" icon and mp3 files come under the "Music" icon on the actual player.
Enjoy!

This happened to me, I just got one, and I had to format it. You lose the demo videos and music and all that, but you just have to add all the stuff you want back on. My problem now is that mine wont even turn on. I plug it in to the computer and nothing happens, even just turning it on regularly. Even if I try to charge it, it says on the charger that is already full. I don't know, I'm about to give up.

This happened to my AWA mp4 player. I fixed it by hooking it up to the computer and formatting it. All the files were lost (lucky i had copies!) but at least the player worked again. Hope this helps.
